Crane Hot Springs Policies & Guidelines

We are committed to ensuring a comfortable and enjoyable stay for all our guests. However, staying with us is part of an outdoor experience, and as such, no refunds are provided due to the natural elements or discomforts of nature.

Cancellation Policies

Cancellation Fees: Cancellations or date changes must be made at least 36 hours prior to the reservation. A 10% non-refundable deposit is required when booking. The remaining balance is automatically charged 36 hours prior to your stay. Once charged, the amount is non-refundable.

»Cash Payments

Cash payments are not allowed for any overnight stays. A valid credit card must be provided, along with proof of identification.

»Payments

A 10% non-refundable payment is required at the time of booking. By providing a credit card number, you authorize Resnexus to charge your credit card for the full amount of your reservation 36 hours prior to your stay. This charge includes any costs accrued during your stay, such as damages, theft of items, or outstanding balances not settled at the time of departure.

All reservations must be made with a valid MasterCard, Visa, or Discover credit card.

»Check-In/Out Times and Age Restrictions

Check-In: For all overnight guests staying in a lodging unit, check-in time is between 3:00 PM and 10:00 PM. For camping and RV guests, check-in is available between 1:00 PM and 10:00 PM.

Guests must be at least 18 years of age to rent a room. A valid credit card and matching photo ID are required at check-in.

To ensure your room is ready, we kindly ask that you do not arrive before 3:00 PM for lodging units. If you choose to check in earlier, an early check-in fee of $20 will apply.

Check-Out: Check-out time is 11:00 AM for all guests. If you require a late check-out, please speak with a front desk staff member in advance.

»Entry Policy

We kindly request that guests do not arrive after 10:00 PM. As a smaller family-style establishment, our office closes at this time, and quiet hours are enforced starting at 10:00 PM.

If circumstances beyond your control (e.g., weather, road conditions, or construction) delay your arrival, please call our office at 541-493-2312 before 10:00 PM to inform a staff member.

Please note that a late check-in fee of $20.00 will be charged for arrivals after the 10:00 PM check-in time.

GENERAL PROPERTY POLICIES

We want to make your stay both pleasant and comfortable. If you need any information, please feel free to inquire at the Front Office. Please help us make your stay here more enjoyable through your cooperation with following simple rules:

»Vehicles:
All vehicles must display a valid Crane Hot Springs parking permit. Vehicles without proper parking permits are subject to tow at the owner's expense.

»Keys:
Loss of or damage to keys in a guest’s possession will result in a fine of $35.00.

»Linens:
Linens and towels are provided for each lodging unit. If lost, stolen, or damaged, a fee of up to $250.00 may apply.

»Quiet Time:
All public areas observe quiet time between 10:00 PM and 6:00 AM. Please keep noise to a minimum during these hours. This includes avoiding the use of generators, loud music, or allowing dogs to bark constantly.

»Teepee/Sheep Herder Guests:
No pets are allowed in or around the teepees or the sheep herder's wagon. Dogs may not be left in vehicles. Smoking and fires are prohibited inside the teepees. The soaking tub is reserved exclusively for teepee guests.

»PETS:
We welcome dogs, but they are allowed only in the parking lot, camping areas, and pet-friendly cabins. All dogs must be registered with the front office at check-in. Dogs must be kept on a leash at all times. Pets may not be left unattended outside for any reason. Your pet may be left in your lodging unit or RV.

»»Restrictions: Dogs are NOT allowed at or in the pond. Owners are responsible for cleaning up after their pets. We provide pet waste bags at the Office free of charge and have pet waste stations located around the property.

»»Fees: A pet fee of $15.00 per dog per night will be added for guests in pet-friendly rooms. A pet fee of $3.00 per pet per night will be added for dry camping or RV guests.

»»Important: WE DO NOT ALLOW CATS in any of our lodging units. Only some units are pet-friendly. Pets in non-pet-friendly rooms will incur a $250 penalty fee. The Cowpoke, Crane Creek Inn, and Teepees do NOT allow pets.


»CHILDREN:
Anyone under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult at all times and must not be left unattended. Infants and toddlers, who are not potty-trained, must wear swim diapers in the pond. Do not allow children to play in the roadway.

»THEFT:
Any guest found stealing and/or vandalizing the grounds will be immediately asked to leave and will not be invited back. No refunds will be given.

» CRANE CREEK ROOMS:
No pets and children allowed in Crane Creek Rooms. All rooms are non-smoking. If smoking/vaping occurs in the room, a fine of $250 will be charged to the credit card on file. No smoking/vaping, glassware, or cooking allowed on back patios.

» CAMPFIRE REGULATIONS:
We have a limited number of areas designated for campfires. Fires may NOT be built in any other area. Firewood can be bought at the Office. During droughts, fires may be banned everywhere on the property. No fires during windy conditions! Please check with the office before having a fire.

» ILLEGAL POSSESSIONS
We do not allow fireworks, illegal drugs, or unlawful behavior on Crane Hot Springs Property. Reports will be made to the Harney County Sheriff’s Department.

»SMOKING:
All rental units are non-smoking of any kind. If smoking/vaping occurs in any room, a fine up to $250 will be charged to the credit card on file.

» PROPERTY DAMAGE & VANDALISM
Scavenging, digging or defacing of the grounds is not allowed; Excessive vandalizing will be reported to the Harney County Sheriff’s Department. Metal detecting is never allowed. Discharge of firearms is strictly prohibited.

Day Use & Pond Rules, Responsibilities, and Assumption of Risk Agreement

»Respect Private Property:
Please respect our property and other guests, many of whom are here for relaxation.
»Enter at Your Own Risk:
No lifeguard on duty. We are not responsible for any type of injury.
Safety Rules:
»No running, diving, or head-first entries.
»No beverages of any kind allowed on rim of pond or lobster. Please use picnic tables.
»No food or glass anywhere near the pond.
»No smoking or vaping in or near the pond or bathhouses.
»Clothing is required at all times.
»Children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by a guardian.
»Children under the age of 16 are not permitted in the Lobster Pot.

»Additional Guests

»Guest Declarations: Please declare the number of guests in your party. Failure to declare additional guests will result in a charge of $30 per undeclared guest.
»Day-use guests must leave the property by 10 PM.
»Staying past 10 PM will result in an overnight camping fee of the current Overflow Camping rate of $35-$50 for double occupancy, additional guest, over 2, will be charged $20.

»Risks Associated with Crane Hot Springs

Users acknowledge that the waters at Crane Hot Springs can be significantly hotter than typical hot tubs, spas, or hot tubs. These conditions pose risks such as:
»Heat stroke
»Heart attack
»Dehydration
»Drowning
These hazards may result in serious injury or death. Please use caution.

»Alcohol and Beverages

No alcoholic drinks or other beverages are allowed in or near the pond and Lobster Pot. Water bottles and sodas may only be left at picnic tables.

»Pond Etiquette

The following are strictly prohibited in the pond:
»Smoking or vaping
»Eating or drinking
»Soaps, shampoos, or oils
»Lotions or ointments
»Excessive noise or disturbances, this includes any music (radio, Bluetooth speaker or any other noise making device).
»Lewd or sexual behavior
»Running or diving
»Pets
»Glass items
»Alcohol

Violation of these rules will result in immediate removal from the property without a refund. All members of your party will also be asked to leave.

Crane Hot Springs or their employees will not be held responsible for any loss or damage incurred.
We anticipate that our policy will change from time to time, and we expressly reserve the right to change the policy when we find it to be appropriate. Your continued use of our resort constitutes your acceptance of our rules and policies, including any changes.

We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone who does not follow these rules, without refund.
